National Heat Pump Week to bring the UK heat pump sector together this October
The UK’s heat pump industry is set to come together this October for the inaugural National Heat Pump Week, a new campaign aimed at raising awareness, sharing practical knowledge and supporting the wider adoption of heat pump technology.
Taking place from 12–16 October 2026, the initiative is being delivered by the Heat Pump Association UK (HPA UK) in partnership with Nineteen Group, the organiser behind InstallerSHOW and elementalLONDON.
The five-day campaign will create a dedicated platform for heat pump installers, businesses, manufacturers, policymakers and other organisations across the sector to highlight developments and share expertise. Through webinars, editorial content, interviews, competitions and industry insights, National Heat Pump Week will bring together a broad range of voices from across the heat pump supply chain.
With the participating organisations collectively reaching more than one million built environment professionals, the campaign is designed to generate greater engagement with heat pump technology and the role it can play in the UK’s transition to lower-carbon heating.
What will National Heat Pump Week focus on?
The campaign will address some of the key opportunities and challenges facing the sector, with the programme built around five core themes:
- Technology and performance – exploring how they work, what users can expect from them and addressing some of the misconceptions surrounding heat pumps.
- Commercial and industrial applications – examining the potential for heat pump deployment beyond domestic properties and across commercial and industrial settings.
- Policy, markets and growth – looking at the relationship between government policy, market development and the actions needed to increase deployment, such as heat pump funding and grants.
- Consumer demand and confidence – helping to turn greater awareness and understanding into increased confidence and demand.
- Installation and skills – sharing practical experience, technical knowledge and lessons from installers working on heat pump projects.
Alongside these themes, the week will provide opportunities to showcase completed installations, emerging technologies and experiences from consumers and industry professionals.
The organisers also hope the campaign will provide a focal point for industry-wide communication, creating opportunities for greater media and political engagement while supporting learning and collaboration throughout the supply chain.
Supporting the UK’s transition to low-carbon heating
Heat pumps are expected to play an increasingly important role as the UK works towards its clean-power and net-zero ambitions. The technology is also central to the Government’s plans for improving the energy efficiency and decarbonisation of homes through initiatives such as the Warm Homes Plan.
Olivia Smalley, Head of Policy and Communications at HPA UK, said the campaign would give the industry an opportunity to reflect on its progress while sharing knowledge that can support the next stage of the transition.
“National Heat Pump Week is an opportunity for the whole sector to come together, recognise the progress that has already been made and look ahead to the opportunities still to come. Bringing technical expertise, policy insight and practical experience together in one focused campaign will help support the industry as heat pump adoption continues to grow.”
Joe Sharpe, Head of Content for Installer at Nineteen Group, added that the campaign would give organisations across the industry an opportunity to demonstrate their support for the technology and encourage wider adoption.
“We’re delighted to be supporting the first National Heat Pump Week. There is already significant momentum behind the transition to heat pumps, and the campaign will give installers, manufacturers, suppliers and other organisations an opportunity to share their experiences, highlight the benefits of the technology and contribute to the conversation around the UK’s net-zero ambitions.”
